CALIM was founded by three senior contracts professionals who spent decades inside the industry – leading contract departments, defending multi-million-dollar claims, and building the governance frameworks that Tier-1 contractors rely on. They saw the same pattern everywhere: contractors with excellent engineering capability and weak contractual discipline, losing margin not because of what they built, but because of what they failed to administer.
The founding team launched CALIM to solve that problem. Not with software. Not with templates. With senior practitioners who have personally led the contract functions on the projects your firm is bidding today – and who bring that institutional discipline directly into your operations.

What contractors usually ask before they engage.
How quickly can you start?
Most engagements kick off within five business days of the health check. For active disputes or urgent LD exposures, a dedicated lead is on your project within 48 hours. Urgency is priced into the engagement, not into the timeline.
Do you replace our in-house legal team?
Never. CALIM handles the commercial and contractual layer your legal team is not staffed for: variations, claims positioning, delay analysis, close-out discipline. We make your legal function look sharper, not redundant. Most of our long-term clients kept their legal team and added us as the contracts specialists alongside.
Which contract forms do you know?
FIDIC across all books, NEC3 and NEC4, bespoke EPC and EPIC, Qatar Energy and ADNOC standard forms, and the full range of MENA subcontract templates. If your contract is the unusual one, that is precisely when our 100+ years of combined exposure matters most.
What if a dispute escalates to arbitration?
We stay with you. Our senior team has led claims defense into ICC, DIAC, and QICCA proceedings, and we coordinate directly with your appointed counsel through resolution. We do not hand off at the courthouse door: the commercial specialists who built the claim are the ones who defend it.
How do engagements end?
Cleanly. Fixed-fee engagements close with a documented handover and a prioritized list of what comes next. Retainers are month-to-month with no lock-in: pause when your project pauses, resume when it resumes. The off-ramp is as defined as the on-ramp.
